Chris Astle

Chris Astle

Chris is co-founder and managing director of m-send, with responsibilities for the continued development of the company and the creation of long term profitable relationships with both customers and partners.

Prior to founding m-send, Chris held senior management positions in sales and marketing, with clients ranging from Unilever, GlaxoSmithKline, Shell and British Airways to KPMG and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

His experience in sales, marketing and general management, has played a pivotal role in the company's growth and helped establish m-send as one of the leading providers of mobile business services to companies in the UK and abroad.

Jon Murgatroyd

Operations Director

Jon Murgatroyd

Jon is co-founder and operations director of m-send, with responsibility for the management and effective delivery of m-send services to client projects.

Prior to founding m-send, Jon spent more than eighteen years working in the insurance industry. During this time he built up his own company to be one of the top ten motorcycle brokerage organisations in the UK, before selling it to the Highway Insurance Group plc.

His entrepreneurial skills and technical knowledge have been critical in setting m-send’s operational and strategic priorities, while his close work with customers has helped deliver some exceptional results.

Peter Tilling

Non-Executive Chairman

Peter joined m-send in May 2005 as chairman, bringing both strategic council and operational stewardship.

Originally qualifying as an engineer, Peter founded Peter Tilling Plastics (PTP) in 1971 and grew the business to be one of the largest high-tech privately owned injection moulding companies in Europe. When the business was sold in 1996, PTP had a turnover of approximately £45 million, employed nearly 1,200 people in Glasgow and London and had customers including IBM, NCR, Sun Microsystems, Motorola, Polaroid Cameras and General Motors.

Peter is a proven entrepreneur with interests in a number of successful projects including the EMS Group that manufactures disposable parts for the medical industry.
